Ultrasound day!!!! And guess who got stubborn baby of the day award?! Yep, Baby Nix!
Everything was looking great! My blood pressure was 98/60, weight was good, I got my H1N1 vaccine, and they took more blood for genetic testing. My earlier blood work for the toxoplasmosis will not be back until next Friday, but we feel a lot better after the visit today (and the doctor does too).
Now Baby Nix didn't want to cooperate for the ultrasound and decided that looking straight at the camera was the best plan. They needed a profile view to perform the nuchal translucency (NT) test...they finally got it 30 minutes later after pushing my stomach all over the place, doing an external and internal ultrasound, having me sit up and down, and moving the table around. Now don't get me wrong, Baby Nix was moving and kicking, just always looking straight at the camera. Such a ham already! We were also able to hear the heartbeat today. That was wild to hear the 155 bpm of our little one! And they were able to make an early guess on the sex - they said not to go shopping yet, but it looks like a girl. We will know for sure on June 11th!
My official due date has been changed to November 19th, 2010. We are 11weeks and 5 days along and will officially be through the first trimester in 2 days.
